Waxy Desires was
birthed in 1999 and 11 years later we are still standing! We
grew tired of shopping around for candles that did not compliment
our decor, eclectic taste and candles that didn't scent up the
entire room when lit. Therefore, we decided to start making
our own. We searched around for quality wax, scents, colors
and wicks. We tested and tested until we were able to produce
the best product available.
We began selling to family and friends at home parties and the business continued to grow. Waxy Desires is now available at various events, stores, and we moved the business to Riverfront Work Lofts over 5 years ago. Waxy Desires has been featured on CLTV's Metromix, Creme Magazine, N'Digo's Small Business of the week, The Chicago Sun-times, The Chicago Defender and Bahiyah Woman Magazine . Waxy Desires specialize in making highly-scented, custom made, eclectic sensations for all occasions. We've had the pleasure of sharing some of my creations with some of our favorite celebrities; Larenz Tate, George Clinton, Monique of the Parkers, Yin-Yang Twins, The Honarable Judge Mathis, Teedra Moses, Chante Moore, Kenny Latimore, Lil G. of Silkk, Sundance from WGCI, Crazy Howard McGhee, Tamron Hall, Herb Kent & Dottie Peoples to name a few.
